Project Description

Do you see a dream or reality?

The images depict the tension between dream and reality, telling the story through typical segregated rooms. Using color and animation, they convey, in a comical manner, the inherent conflicts of work and parenthood. Embarking on documenting objects, materials, and daily life in my house, I leverage 3D scanning photography, and robotic drawing to merge tangible reality into a record. The series of renderings are inspired by a myriad of artists such as Alex Da Corte, Larry Sultan, CAWS, and Robert Therrien. Additionally Manga, and a hyper realistic model offer a multidimensional perspective. Central to the narrative are the characters, a mother and child, who have identical faces inspired by beloved cartoons like Japanese Anpanman and world known Mickey Mouse. While deeply personal, the inclusion of these characters invites viewers to engage with the work and understand it through their own perspectives, which are inherently influenced by individual circumstances.
