Embarking on an open studio exploration in Toronto, the “Toronto for Free” project sought to celebrate walking, looking, drawing, and intervening as methods of discovery. The objective was enhancing the experience of a free space in Toronto through a customized site-specific intervention within a $50 budget. The selected site, nestled in a pocket of the waterfront, offered a sweeping panorama that invited immersion. Inspired by childhood memories, a site-specific intervention featuring white carps showcased the presence of the wind, fostering open-ended sentiments and crafting an immersive experience.
