The main feature of this house is the strong spatial relationship between the inside and the outside. Apertures were carved into the shell to connect the interior to the exterior through lake vistas. The design of the house takes its cues from the context by using multilevel floor elevations to mirror the rocky terrain outdoors. The roof was also carved to allow sunlight and moonlight into various spaces in the interior, including the entrance, living space and master bedroom. This will allow the clients to feel inspired by their surroundings while working from home. The shell is also easy to modify to fit the changes in their lifestyle.
